Another Vancouver like summer day on tap for the Okanagan

If you’re from Vancouver, chances are you feel a little more at home in Kelowna this week.

Instead of temperatures near 30°C today, we’ll once again see highs closer to 20°C with a few clouds in the sky and even a small chance of a shower or two.

“Although sun and cloud continues to be in our forecast, the cool air mass over our region will keep our daytime highs near or below seasonal over the next few days,” explains Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.

“This weather pattern will also bring more clouds near the mountains in the afternoon hours. The chance of showers will stay slim as no significant weather systems are slated to push inland in the near future.”

That doesn’t mean you should skimp on the sunscreen, however, as the UV index will get all the way up to 8 today, which is considered ‘very high.’

An allergy pill probably wouldn’t hurt either, as the pollen index will be moderate in the Okanagan today.

It’s 9°C in Kelowna as of 6:35 a.m. with a high of 21°C today, so get out there and enjoy your Tuesday!
