Stars on Ice making stop in Kelowna

Those itching to see the best Canadian figure skaters perform are in luck, as the 2022 Canadian tour of Stars on Ice is making its return after being on hold from the pandemic for two years.

Several elite figure skaters will be descending onto Prospera Place on Wednesday, May 18 for a glorious night of skating.

Headlining the list of figure skaters set to attend are the two-time and reigning Canadian dance champions Piper Gilles and Paul Poirer. They will be joined by three-time Canadian pair champions Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro and 2022 Canadian champion Keegan Messing.

Also attending will be:

Kurt Browning (four-time world champion, four-time Canadian champion).
Elvis Stojko (two-time Olympic silver medallist, three-time world champion, seven-time Canadian champion).
Kaetlyn Osmond (gold, silver and bronze Olympic medallist, 2018 world champion).
Jeffrey Buttle (Olympic bronze medallist).
Elladj Balde (Canadian junior champion).
Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje (three-time Canadian dance champions, three-time world medallists).
Satoko Miyahara (four-time Japanese champion, two-time world medallist).
Alissa Czisny (two-time US champion).

Here is just a taste of what to expect on May 18.

Stars on Ice was founded in 1986 by Olympic gold medallist Scott Hamilton. 1991 was the first year when the tour went through Canada. Past performances include Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, Brian Orser, Jamie Sale & David Pelletier and Joannie Rochette.
