It’s game day for the Lions and they’re hungry to become the sole 4-0 team in the CFL.
The Leos enter this game as the top team in the CFL power rankings, the first time there was a different team at the top since week five in 2021.
The jump to the top of the standings is thanks to an explosive defence that sacked the Winnipeg Blue Bombers seven times in their week three matchup.
Not only was the defence incredible on the ground, but also in the air, finishing top two in run defence, pass rush and coverage in week three.
BC put a stop to a Winnipeg team that was on a tear in their previous two games, scoring a combined 87 points.
If the Leos want to continue this dominance, they will have to put a stop to the Toronto Argonauts run game that has bullied opponents this year.
The Argos had 15 first downs on the ground and almost 40% of their rushes moved the chains or scored a touchdown against the Edmonton Elks.
In week three, the Argos finished with the highest offensive and defensive grades in the league.
But, and a big but, it must be noted that the Argos have only played two winless teams this year, the Edmonton Elks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who are a combined 0-6.
The Argos also surrendered 31 points to an Elks team that has not won more than four games since 2019.
BC’s defence has only allowed one touchdown this season and they’ll want to keep it that way. Kickoff is at 4 pm PST.
