Vancouver Whitecaps FC unveil new alternate jersey

Vancouver Whitecaps FC will look a little different this season.

B.C.’s only professional men's soccer team unveiled its new kit on Monday and it’s steered away from the club’s traditional dark blue colour.

Instead, the jersey is a charcoal grey, nearly black, uniform that will give the team a brand new look on the field.

Dubbed the unity jersey, it features triangles that are meant to represent the unity between fans, players and the city of Vancouver.

The rest of the look is fairly standard to what the team is had in the past, with the Bell logo on the front, a small Whitecaps logo over the heart and a maple leaf on the back of the neck.

This is the biggest jersey change the team has made since they unveiled their brown jerseys in 2012.

The Vancouver Whitecaps’ season begins on March 4, when the team hosts the Montreal Impact at BC Place.
