Tij Iginla returned to Rockets, expected to suit up against Cougars tonight

After an 0-3 start to the season, the Kelowna Rockets received some exciting news today.

Tij Iginla, who led the team with 47 goals last season, has been returned to junior after spending time with the Utah Hockey Club during training camp and preseason.

It was an expected move, as the 18-year-old who was drafted sixth overall by Utah over the summer was not expected to make the NHL this year, but it comes at a great time.

Iginla is expected to rejoin the Rockets lineup as they host the Prince George Cougars tonight and try to bounce back from three straight losses with their first win of the season.

While the return of Iginla from the NHL will be a massive boost to Kelowna’s lineup, there are still two important players away from the club.

Andrew Cristall remains with the Washington Capitals, while Max Graham continues to showcase himself to the New Jersey Devils after being drafted by the team over the summer.

Iginla and his Rockets teammates will try to get off the snide and win their first game of the season against the Cougars at Prospera Place tonight.
