The Kelowna Rockets were at home on Saturday and fell 4-2 against the Tri-City Americans, extending the Okanagan squad’s losing streak to 10 games.
"I didn't like our start. You look at the first period and I didn't love the penalties,” said Rockets interim head coach Derrick Martin.
“Our details weren't very crisp and we looked like we kind of limped into the hockey game which really dictated the outcome.”

Down 2-0 late in the second period, Hiroki Gojsic recovered the loose puck in front of the net and buried his 17th goal of the season.
The Americans regained their two-goal lead early in the third period after Jake Sloan got his third score of the evening.
Five minutes later, Kayden Longley snagged the rebound and tapped in the puck to bring the Rockets back within one score.
That was all Kelowna would get as Sloan scored on an empty net to get his fourth goal of the game and power Tri-City to a 4-2 win.
"We're a good team when we get going but we're still pursuing that sixty-minute effort,” added Martin.
“It's at the point of the season where it's big boy hockey and we have to find ways to get some wins.”
The Kelowna Rockets will head on the road and face the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday before a weekend home-and-home series against the Kamloops Blazers.
