Vancouver opened the scoring in the first minute of the game after Ty Halaburda scored his 14th goal of the season.

Halaburda was not done there. He scored again a few minutes later before Tyler Thorpe made it a 3-0 game halfway through the second period.

With the clock winding down in the middle frame, Jakub Stancl put the Rockets on the board while on a power play.

Both teams scored several goals in the third period and the Giants began the flurry of scoring at the 4:03 mark, making it a 4-1 game.

The Rockets went on the penalty kill later in the period and Hiroki Gojsic managed to get a shorthanded goal.

A minute later, Kalder Varga made it a one-goal game with almost 10 minutes left in the period.

The 4-3 score was short-lived as Vancouver got back on the scoreboard courtesy of a London Hoilett goal.

Kelowna managed to score one more goal, but it was not enough as they fell 6-4.

The Rockets will have a few days off before hosting Andrew Cristall and the Spokane Chiefs on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s match is the last time the Rockets are scheduled to play the Chiefs this season unless the two teams meet in the playoffs.
