It is an exciting weekend for Kelowna Rockets fans, as their team is finally back on the ice and taking on their BC Interior rivals, the Kamloops Blazers.
The Rockets are on the road tonight as they open their preseason at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.

The team will then return to Kelowna and host the Blazers on home ice Saturday night.
This weekend will be a chance for fans to get a peek at the Rockets’ future with Kanjyu Gojsic and Owen Folstrom making their first appearances for the club after being drafted earlier in the year.
Also making their first appearances for the Rockets will be recently-acquired Tij Iginla, Hiroki Gojsic and Michael Cicek.
On the roster remains three 16-year-olds, Jackson Gillespie, Lachlan Staniforth and Nathan Kam.
Kayden Longley and Landon Cowper, 2006-born age group, will be pushing for a full-time spot on the roster this season after being affiliate players for the club last season.
Next weekend, the Rockets will host the Vancouver Giants on Sept. 15, then the Victoria Royals on Sept. 16th to close out the preseason.
Tickets can be purchased online at this link and two dollars from each preseason ticket sold will be donated to Cops for Kids.

The Select Your Tickets box office is open from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and at 1 pm on Saturday home game days.
