Basran turned away 38 shots to book his first career shutout. His only other ice time in the WHL was against the Vancouver Giants where he took over for James Porter for the last two periods in the 6-1 loss to the Giants.

The crowd was definitely impressed with the 16-year-old goaltender, who hails from Delta B.C.

Even the Mayor of Kelowna, who bears the same name, gave him a shoutout.

Dillon Dube was also on fire in the game, scoring once and adding one assist. Dube was dangerous on his five shots on net and he won 13 of his 22 face-offs.
