Recently, I was part of Homes for the Holidays, a self guided home tour throughout private homes in Kelowna. Homes are all beautifully decorated for Christmas in support of Central Okanagan Hospice.
I had the pleasure of taking over and decorating Caldwell Heritage Farms, a stunning log home located in East Kelowna. Although not my personal style, coming up with a theme was pretty self explanatory in a property such as this - cozy Canadian cabin.
What says “cozy cabin,” more than the classic, iconic Hudson Bay colours?! A few people thought I was crazy to do a christmas theme of red, green, yellow and blue - but I think it came together great!
It was hard to find enough Christmas ornaments for the 15’ tree so I ended up spray painting hundreds of them! Adding in touches of the classic solid colours throughout the house created a cohesiveness without overdoing it.
Lots of natural greenery and vintage pieces gave it a warm, classic Christmas experience.
