BC Parks has added reservations to three popular backcountry campgrounds.
On Thursday, the province said the reservations are meant to help people better plan their camping trips for the upcoming season.
Reservations for the sites can be made four months in advance to the arrival date.
Reservations can now be made in the Porcupine Campground in Mount Assiniboine Park in east Kootenay as of Feb. 21.
You can book for arrivals starting June 21.
Trails are the only way to access the Park, which has five backcountry campgrounds offering a total of 75 campsites.
You will be able to book a spot at the Kicking Horse Campground off Highway 1 as of Feb. 28 for arrivals starting June 28.
Reservations for the Frosty Creek Campground in E.C. Manning Park opened on March 26 for arrivals starting on July 26.
E.C. Manning Park is located in the heart of the pristine Cascade Mountains and offers 10 backcountry campgrounds offering 55 campsites.
Frosty Creek has nine spaces for tents and is located a little over six kilometers from the Lightning Lakes day-use area.
Meanwhile, the Kicking Horse Campground provides 15 ten pads and sits in beautiful sub-alpine meadows and sits at the 13.6 km mark on the Heather Trail.
