Striker Oliver Deveau, from Vancouver, played with Mountain United FC and was named the club’s MVP in 2022.

"Oliver is a forward that can score goals, is very athletic and has a good frame on him," said Zanatta. "He's good in the air or on the ground and he has scored at every level that he has played at. We can see this continuing for him at this level as the future is bright for him."

For the midfielders there is Rory Clements, from Squamish, who also played with Mountain United FC and even spent some time in Germany training with SV Waldhof Mannheim U19.

Clements was named an all-star this year while playing for his AAA senior boys high school team.

Varun Kothary, from Burnaby, played for Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC and was the team captain and leading goal scorer a season ago.

"Varun is a box-to-box midfielder with an engine that does not stop," said Zanatta.

Andrew Matsugu, from New Westminster, also played with Coquitlam Metro-Ford and won a provincial championship in 2017 while on the team.

The last midfielder is Cole Lutz-Charlton, from Surrey, who played with Coastal FC.

"Cole is a very technical player who is good on the ball, has the ability to see the pass and loves to get forward," said Zanatta. "We are excited to see where he can take himself in our program."

Defender Harvey Holland is the only recruit not from BC, as he’s from Winnipeg. Holland was the captain of his U17 club team, the Bonivital Flames, and won a national championship with them.

"We see Harvey as a holding midfielder or potential centre back and believe that over time he will be a large part to the program," said Zanatta.

The final addition is goalkeeper Mattias Ferraro, from Burnaby. Ferraro played with Surrey United and also attended the same high school as new recruit Oliver Deveau, where they won the AA provincial championship and Ferraro was named best goalkeeper.

All players will make their way to Kelowna near the end of July for the start of training camp.
