A development permit application for a townhouse project in the south Glenmore area has been accepted at Kelowna city hall.
A rezoning application submitted by Innocept Developments was accepted in mid-May.
The developer is eyeing 1508 Highland Drive N. for 19 townhouses.
According to the development application, there would be four three-storey buildings.
Most of the units would have three bedrooms and each would have a private garage.
According to the development application, there would be space for community gardens at the centre of the complex.
There would be picnic tables and a mini plaza area with benches at the corner of Clifton Road and Highland Drive.
Each unit would have patio space and a small outdoor area.
“This initiative addresses the growing demand for housing in the region, providing diverse housing options,” said the rezoning application.
This application has been circulated around city hall and next steps will see the rezoning application presented to Kelowna council for consideration.
The development permit application will not receive consideration until all three readings are given to the rezoning bylaw.
