One year later, Kamloops man’s homicide remains a mystery

It’s been a full year since Mark Hoffman and his dog were found dead south of Kamloops.

The RCMP is using the solemn anniversary as an opportunity to put the homicide case back in the public eye in hopes of advancing the investigation.

Hoffman was last seen around 5:30 pm on Dec. 15, 2023, making a purchase at Jimmy’s Liquor Store on Paul Lake Road in Kamloops.

His body, as well as his dog’s body, were discovered the following day at the Inks Lake Road recreation site off Hwy 5, south of Kamloops.

The RCMP has released new surveillance images from Hoffman’s visit to Jimmy’s Liquor Store.
