Noa breaks BCFC rushing record as the Sun achieve perfection

The Okanagan Sun were at home this past Saturday and they continued to do what they have done best this year – win.

The Sun defeated the Valley Huskers 60-14 en route to a perfect 10-0 record. Star running back Elelyon Noa broke the conference rushing record as he reached 1,612 yards this season.

Kelowna opened the scoring and never looked back as they posted double-digit tallies in all four quarters, including 21 points in the third frame.

The Huskers did not get onto the scoreboard until the third quarter, and by that time, the Sun had full control of the game.

Noa came into the match needing around 200 yards to set a new BC Football Conference (BCFC) rushing record, and that he did, running for 207 yards and four touchdowns on 33 attempts.

The match also saw Jordayne Falconer run 102 yards on a punt return to score a touchdown in the first half.

The Sun will enjoy a bye week as the rest of the BCFC teams close the regular season and finalize their positions in the standings.

Playoffs get underway on Saturday, Oct. 12, and the Sun will play whoever finishes fourth in the standings.
