Woman, 36, charged with sexually assaulting residents at care home

A care home worker in Saskatchewan has been charged with sexually assaulting residents.

Police in Wilkie, a town west of Saskatoon, said 36-year-old Jaclyn Elias was arrested on Feb. 29.

The woman has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual assault with a weapon, four counts of assault and one count of uttering threats.

Mounties accused Elias of sexually assaulting, assaulting or threatening “at least” four adult residents of the care home between Jan. 2023 and Feb. 2024.

She has not worked at the home since Feb. 2024.

The woman appeared in court in North Battleford on Aug. 26.

Her next appearance is due on Sept. 16.
