What makes you passionate about your sport and when did you start?
The thrill of racing through the sky against other pilots over a pre-determinded course covering many kms without requiring a single drop of gas. I have been flying solo since I was 13 and went tandem with my dad when I was 3 years old.
Who have been some of the biggest influences on you?
My dad has been a huge influence on me, he was a great pilot in his day and was always pushing the limits of the sport.
My proudest accomplishments to date are
I became the National Champion this past August allowing me to represent Canada in the upcoming World Championships in Australia this January.
My short term goals and my long term goals are
Short term, my goal is to finish in the top 25 at the upcoming Worlds, while keeping up a strong Real Estate business.
Long term goals would be... Standing on the podium in a World Championship, that would be indescribable. Continuing to build my business at RE/MAX Kelowna is of course my main focus, you have got to work before you can go and play.

When I'm not selling Real Estate here in Kelowna or flying the hang glider I can be found cycling, golfing, playing hockey, out on the lake or just hanging out enjoying some of the awesomeness this valley has to offer.

The Fixx Cafe, Waterfront Wines and we eat at the Keg often
What is your favourite store in Kelowna?
Fresh Air Experience would have to be one of my favourites for sure, the staff have always been friendly and great to deal with.
What is the best event or activity in Kelowna?
Summer!
What would you suggest as the best thing to do or see, to your out-of-town guests?
We always suggest wine tours, everyone loves our wine and the wineries in this valley are located in some of the most picturesque spots in the Okanagan.
Boating is always on the list as well, everyone has a good time on the water.
Finish your day on a patio with one of your newly purchased bottles of local wine.
What changes would you like to see made in Kelowna?
I would love to see Kelowna get a Children's Hospital, I am excited for the rejuvenation of the down town core.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
We have 4 distinct seasons, and our local culture is to "get out and enjoy it"... that to me is great!
What has been your most memorable moment in Kelowna?
I flew my hang glider from Lumby and landed at the capital news centre years ago. This flight was fun for a few reasons, I had always wanted to make the flight because no one had done this before (to the best of my knowledge) and because I lived right across the street and I had always wanted to "fly home".
Do you have anything else that you would like to share or say to everyone?
I would like to thank all the people that have supported me along the way.
RE/MAX Kelowna has been an incredible partner in this adventure.
