Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?

I am actually from Prince George, but moved to Langley when I was 6 years old. Then we moved to Kelowna for a year, then back to Langley! Then we moved back to Kelowna again, because who can't come live here? I have been living here 8 years now.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My cousin/best friend Hannah. But also my family, and friends. I can't decide! But they all make me so happy and are such kind and generous people.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Oh gosh, this ones hard. I love so many.. mainly food places. Mad Mango, the BOH, Naked Cafe! I also love thrift shopping at Frock, and Salvation Army. Such good finds!

Describe yourself in one word.
Caring.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Anywhere! I love seeing new places and meeting new people. A new place equals a new adventure and new experiences. I would be so happy doing anything and going anywhere!

What is your
favourite activity in Kelowna?
I love photography, so nature walks/hikes are totally my favorite activity! It is so relaxing and peaceful.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I had just started at a new school and on my first day I fell going UP the stairs, and no one helped me. Fish out of water!

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Honestly, my mom. She has taught me so much, and just recently moving out on my own, she has shown me how to be such an amazing person, and to put others first. To be kind, generous, and thoughtful. I don't know what kind of human I would be without her in my life. I have learned SO so much from her, and could never thank her enough. My mom is the most inspiring thing to me every day.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My favorite childhood memory is visiting Kelowna every summer. My whole family lives in Kelowna, and at the time we lived in Langley for at least 6 years apart from them, so every summer we would come to visit our family. It would be the same routine of who we would visit first, and what we would do. Entering Kelowna there was such a distinct lake smell (that now isn't so distinct) that reminded my brother and I of a loving/fun time. Our family would always be so happy to see us, and we would just play for hours with our cousins in the summer heat and spend time with those who loved us most!

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I don't volunteer often, even when I was younger. I do love second handing at the stores that give back to our community such as Salvation Army, MCC, Ladies Auxilary, and SPCA. I also try to give to those in need, like if I have extra cans/bottles laying around or if it is even just simply buying someone some food or coffee.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?

Animal extinction.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
I love long drives, normally to Penticton or Vernon by myself.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
In the downtown community because there is a larger number of the homeless population. Not only is it heart wrenching, it is bad for summers and tourism when the time comes around. The city is trying to implement changes now, and several of them have been helping in many different ways.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The weather and community.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Own a house.
Own a farm with adopted/rescued animals.
Travel to Australia.

I almost never don't have socks on.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Text.

What is the name of your business/organization?
I wouldn't say it is a business, but I do photography as a hobby. :)

Why did you get into/start this business?
Passion.

What is the goal of your business?
Provide beautiful shots of nature/people around my community.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?

Overcoming fears of failing.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Things would be different.

What do you always find yourself saying?
To each their own.

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Don't worry about what others think, all that matters is what you would think of yourself if you were to watch your life back. Are you happy?

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Miley Cyrus, I have ALWAYS looked up to her since Hannah Montana premiered on Family Channel. She has been my role model, even to this day. She is empowered, caring, loveable, happy, etc.
