Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My 8 year old daughter Levi, she is a star! She consistently inspires me and the people she meets with her kindness and funny little sense of humour.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Blue Ginger. Love this little boutique for it’s unique gifts and jewelry. Also, love that they carry local artisan merchandise.

Describe yourself in one word.
Sparkly.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
New Orleans, I’m a huge lover of music and have always been drawn to the vibrant culture there.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Just pick one? *Yikes* I would have to say the hiking. I spend a lot of time with my dog Jack exploring our many beautiful hiking trails, finding hidden waterfalls and enjoying the valley’s breathtaking views.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
One that comes to mind; I was in my 20’s, working promotions at the Toronto HONDA Indy when I came to the very public realization that NASCAR Racing was NOT in fact ‘NICE CAR’ Racing pronounced with a southern twang?

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Currently I am volunteering with our local Canadian Home Builders Association. A group that provides a community and advocates for the local construction industry on a provincial and national level.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
If I’m not out on the hiking trails, you can find me seeking solace at my favourite Yoga Studio – INVATI

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Kelowna is so fortunate to have amazing festivals and music in our parks. I would like to see continued growth in our support of local talent and attraction of big ticket artists.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
World class skiing, wineries and golfing. Can't forget a climate that sometimes allows you to pull off all three activities in a day!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Learn to Sail
2. Own a recreational lakefront BC property

NOVARAE Interiors Ltd.

What is the goal of your business?
To support home builders/renovators and home owners in creating beautiful designs for their new home build or renovation.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Learning how to slow things down and allocate enough time to your business, your loved ones and yourself.

What do you always find yourself saying?
Everything happens for a reason.

Be true to yourself.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Kelowna is very unique in its high volume of small businesses, it contributes greatly to our local economy and provides stable jobs. Buying from local entrepreneurs puts extra spending money in your neighbours pockets.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
I am proud of the amazing NOVARAE team for being honoured among some of the local best with 9 Gold Tommie Awards throughout our time in business!
