Meet Jessica Levy! Jessica has lived in the Okanagan her whole life and enjoys Hiking and spending time with her son!
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
Grew up in the Okanagan and lived in Kelowna since 1999.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My son, he is my reason WHY. He helps me want to continue to improve and be a better person.
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Most of the local women I support have smaller businesses and you can find them at tradeshows here. Come check out The Mommas Collective
Describe yourself in one word.
Compassionate
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Croatia and explore my roots and see if I can find my family history over there.
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Hiking! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many beautiful mountains.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
In elementary school my shoelace got caught on my chair and I fell flat on my face and knocked my chair over. So embarrassed it made me cry.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Meeting my best friend and business partner. It was luck or chance that we met and we have been inseparable in life and business since.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Growing up without technology and being able to play outdoors. We lived in the countryside so I was a fan of camping, riding bikes and all activities outdoors.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
This month we are donating 100% of all business proceeds to The Okanagan Boys & Girls Club! Every new member that joins for the month of November subscription fee will be going to the club towards their kids programs. We are so excited to be able to give back to the community.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
More kindness.
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
I like the quiet spots on the mountainside where you have a view of the lake.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
The drugs and needles that are being found on the beaches and parks are a huge deterrent for families to bring their children to play. Would be nice if we could keep the drugs off of these public areas.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Our local shops, the people here.
