Canada may be known for maple syrup, hockey, and beer but there are plenty of awesome things that are made here in our own country.
Here are some of the awesome things that are proudly Canadian made:
Waterslides
Most of the world’s waterslides are made in Kelowna. Canadian design and technology company Whitewater West Industries Ltd is the largest water parks attraction company in the world. Their Kelowna based facility FormaShape produces thousands of waterslides each year.

French Fries
The small town of Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick is the french fry capital of the world. McCain Foods has a $65 million state of the art potato processing plant in the community that produces nearly one third of all the frozen fries in the world. The Potato World museum is located here and it's where the National French Fry Day celebrations take place.

Baseball Bats
The United States may be known for Baseball but it is Canada that produces the best bats. In 2012 100 Major League Baseball players used Canadian maple wood bats known as the “Sam Bat”. The Original Maple Bat Corporation is located half an hour from Ottawa and uses harder wood than the traditional ash making it a favourite among professional players.

Lentils
The world can enjoy things like lentil soup because Saskatchewan produces about 1.5 million metric tonnes annually. Canada is the largest exporter of green lentils in the world with 95% coming from Saskatchewan.

Halls
When you have a sore throat you usually reach for a pack of Halls but did you know they were made in Canada? A Halls plant in Scarborough, Ontario produced more than 6 billion pieces of the ‘medicine’ last year for the United States. That’s enough to line the world side by side nearly three and a half times.

Coins
There are 60 different countries around the world that depend on Winnipeg for their currency. The Royal Winnipeg Mint produces coins for places such as Colombia, Cuba and Norway and can mint more than 20 million coins a day.
