MisMack Clean Cosmetics has opened at 1310 Water Street. Created by internationally acclaimed Okanagan local makeup artist Missy MacKintosh, MisMack is leading the clean beauty revolution with innovative, award-winning products that perform better than mainstream. Missy built MisMack from the ground up in her small town of Canoe, B.C. She worked alongside two female chemists to create and perfect each product. After outgrowing her basement during the pandemic, MisMack opened its first storefront in Salmon Arm, the second in Victoria and now the third in downtown Kelowna, next to Eurobean. A very talented Missy, she started her freelance career in Kelowna working with Opera Kelowna on four operas and also worked on multiple shoots with Kelly Derrickson and Sweetlegs campaigns and commercials and many others. MisMack is also on multiple film set as a Million Little Things, Nancy Drew Series and on the set of Alaska Daily with Hilary Swank. MisMack offers free pampering sessions, one-on-one lessons and professional makeup applications for weddings, grads, events and headshots. Missy applied my makeup for the Dress For Success Fashion Show last weekend. It was truly pleasure to meet her and learn about her clean cosmetics. www.mismack.com

It is with sadness that I am saying goodbye to Jaden Large, producer for the AM 1150 Early Edition with Phil Johnson. Jaden first stepped into the AM 1150 studio in August, 2021 taking his place behind the soundboard and putting his academic training to the test. He did freelance from producing the Garden Show and covering the Kelowna Rockets to handling remotes in Kelowna and Vernon, all while maintaining a vigilant watch over the station during the night. This kept up until December, 2022 when former producer Klein Felt announced his resignation from the Early Edition and Jaden took that position. Jaden is now relocating to Edmonton where he will delve into trades and pursue a career as an electrician.
