Ship Parcel, Packaging and Shipping, Your One-Stop Solution has opened at #101 – 1865 Dilworth Drive, in the former UPS Store, next to Sandrine’s. Owned and operated by Gurpreet Singh, the company is a one-stop-shop for all services including packaging, mailboxes, courier, finishing, support, printing, packing supplies, business forms and passport photos. Mailbox service has 24-hour access, call-in mail checks, mail forwarding and courier receiving. Packing services include anything from computers to antiques. Courier and shipping offers all carriers, including UPS, Fed Ex, Purolator, DHL and Canada Post, with overnight/air, ground, freight and international. Ship Parcel offers all packing supplies from corrugated boxes to mailing tubes and their finishing service includes binding, laminating, cutting/folding and saddle stitch. They have a full line of printing services, including business cards and business forms that include manuals, stationery and labels.

She will be at two local markets this season; Christmas at the Laurel Packing House on November 18 and 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at Summerhill Pyramid Winery on December 9th and 10th popping up for the fall and winter market series. The Annual Kelowna Christmas Toy Run 2023 for the Salvation Army is asking for your support by raising funds and collecting a variety of gifts for children of all ages, with donations, prizes to add to a raffle and toys for the families. On November 25th starting at 8:00 a.m. the Salvation Army and the volunteers of the Toy Run will be hosting a large event at High Noon Park, 4720 Old Vernon Road to accept all toy donations and selling raffle tickets for the prizes donated by locals and businesses. There will be a large group of 4x4 trucks and rigs to view on display as well as after the fundraiser they will all disperse on their 4x4’s and drive through the postil area. The Toy Run organizers are Adam Jefferies and Nikki-Lynn Mckee-Lanchick.

Andrea Campbell is the Lead Elf at Project Christmas Elf (PCE) that is here to help Kelowna and area families looking for some support this holiday season. The project is based on the idea of community members helping community members. People in need can privately reach out to the PCE website at www.projectchristmaself.ca and fill out an intake form sharing their story. The PCE Elves will match a family with a sponsor. Anyone who wishes to sponsor a family can also fill out an intake form to be a sponsor. Everyone is anonymous during this process and the elves makes sure gifts get to their destination by Christmas. Sponsorship is appreciated if you belong to a club, neighborhood, workplace or just join with a couple of friends.

The Kelowna Chapter of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims is hosting Dennis Garnhum, a long time Canadian theatre director, and a dynamic, entertaining speaker who will present his new book TOWARD BEAUTY: Reigniting a Creative Life on the Camino de Santiago on Monday November 20th starting at 6:45 at the downtown Kelowna Public Library. Christmas Love for the Okanagan is a project that is organizing the collection of homemade Christmas tree ornaments from people across Canada for people who lost their homes in the wildfires. Started by Trina Vercholuk, Tammy Torgerson and Janelle Spilak, their wish is that this small gift brings happiness this holiday season and helps the families build a new Christmas collection. They are accepting homemade tree ornaments until December 1. Start crafting, share this message, and nominate an impacted family.
