A new option for craft beer is now open for residents of West Kelowna and surrounding communities.
Connector Brewing has long been in the works, and the new brewery finally opened its doors to the public at 3310 Carrington Rd. in Westbank this week.
A post to the brewery’s Instagram page called the journey to opening day “an adventure” and expressed an abundance of pride in the space they’ve created.
Connector is a labour of love from partners Rebecca and Colton, who developed a passion for craft beer while exploring breweries all over British Columbia.
As they formed more and more connections over pints around BC, they wanted to share the same experience with others and the dream of a community-focused brewery came into focus.
“At Connector Brewing, our philosophy is grounded in the belief that connections foster growth and thriving communities,” the brewery’s website explains.
“Through our locally crafted beer and approachable plant-based eats that feels familiar, we provide a place for people to connect with each other, our offerings and the environment that sustains us, all while mindful of our collective impact.”
The plant-based menu includes tempeh sliders, jackfruit tacos, artichoke dip, perogies and popcorn to start.
On the beer side of things, they currently have a hazy pale ale, pale ale, cold IPA and strawberry hibiscus sour on tap, with more to come soon.
They also have a trio of guest taps from other Central Okanagan breweries, rotating local wines, rotating ciders, Karma sodas and juice flights available as well.
The man behind the Connector-made beers is Travis Lang, a Vancouver native with plenty of experience in the industry and a love for crisp lagers and dark ales.
Connector Brewing's current hours are 2-9 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 pm on Tuesdays, noon-10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon-8 pm on Sundays.
